Sagamore Beach Man Arrested For Soliciting Sex From Minor

After a long investigation, a local man has been arrested on charges related to a minor.
On July 19, the Lakeville Police Department arrested a male subject relating to an online solicitation. The investigation concluded that an individual was attempting communication with a minor child for purpose of sex. As a result of this 7 month investigation the following individual was arrested:
Robert J. Oliver DOB 3-8-61 of 21 Ocean Pines Dr. Sagamore Beach, MA
Oliver was charged with the following:
Pay for Sexual Conduct with Child Under 18
Obscene Material to a Minor Child
The subject will be arraigned in Wareham District Court on July 19.
Sergeant Erik McNeice is the investigating officer.
Mr. Oliver’s attorney, J. Drew Segadelli, said that a trial date has not been set.
